Young people might think that crashes due to alcohol impairment only happen to other people. Fatal Reflections® 3.0 generates a personalized multimedia presentation in a news story format. Take digital pictures of participants and assign them roles in a crash scene. Creates a fast-paced, custom news story that describes the incident, and plays pieces of conversation about the varied consequences (for example: an emergency room nurse describing the subject’s injuries and their B.A.C. at the time of admittance).

Distracted & Impaired Driving
Talking and texting on cell phones while driving is a growing safety concern that seriously diminishes a driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle. A recent report by Car and Driver finds that decreased reaction times caused by reading and writing text messages can increase stopping distances by more than 50 feet (Fox News May 2009). The Distracted and Impaired Driving Kit was developed to address these concerns.
We provide students with a hands-on and engaging activity that dramatically demonstrates the dangers of distracted and impaired driving. Texting a friend on a cell phone, plugging an address into the GPS, eating fries, tending to a child, and browsing an MP3 player for that favorite song can distract and hinder a driver’s person’s reaction time just long enough to produce a dangerous and potentally tragic situation. The lesson begins when your participant tries to accomplish two simultaneous activities while wearing Fatal Reaction® and using Distract-A-Match.
